Reducing mortality (Infant mortality, maternal mortality)
For ERRADA to start the project implementation, it was necessary that prior arrangements with donors government be in place Hence, ERRADA reached a Partnership Agreement with NCA on JR3 in June 2021 This was followed immediately by submission of the Technical Agreement to the State Ministry of Health Social Development – South Kordofan State
The expected outcomes from the project include2 rehabilitation of two health facilities, provision of mental psycho-social support, improved reproductive health services, monitoring control of epidemics, primary secondary health services provided, community outreach services reduced Gender Based Violence (GBV)
Health facility rehabilitated-physical conditions of the facility prevents limits the spread of nosocomial infections, the facility is safe ( eg against natural hazards), storage conditions for medical supplies are according to norms medical waste is disposed of according to stards
Psychological or psychiatric consultations are provided by a skilled provider
Skilled provider medical or paramedical degree with supplementary training on mental health
Skilled health personnel doctors, nurses or midwives are trained in providing life-saving obstetric care, including in giving the necessary supervision, care advice to women during pregnancy, childbirth the postpartum period, trained to conduct deliveries on their own, to care for new-borns
Alerts for which an investigation or control measures were implemented responded to Hospitalisations at secondary healthcare facilities received substantial amount of support through the project Curative consultations are provided either through existing facility which received substantial support through the project
Children receive community based treatment for malaria, diarrhoea or acute respiratory infections It considers treatment according to ICCMI (Integrated Community Case Management) guidelines principles is a strategy to extend case management of childhood illness beyond health facilities so that more children have access to lifesaving treatments
GBV victims receive a comprehensive package of medical paramedical services Psychological services
